ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) or
LPN (License Plate Number Recognition) can add to or replace Vehiches electronic marker system. We offer two differently priced recognition systems - for car parks (vehicles are moving low speed) and so called free-flow (fast mowing vehicled on the highway for vehicle up to 200km/h). Recognition precision which reaches 95-98% and depends on speed of movement, lighting and camera's working mode as well as many other factors.
System make
- registration and accounting of moving vehicles while saving the plate info into data base along with date/time and picture of the vehicle (for example, for speeding tickets, other rules breach detection etc)
- accounting and control of vehicles on company or paid car parks
- automation of access procedures when integrated with access control system
Good example for using the plate recognition subsystem - vehicle access control system into restricted zone, developped by us. Drivers, who have received permanent entry pass can only enter with the particualr vehicles. On entry and exit numbers are recognized and compared to the list of allowed cars. If the result is negative, then breach is registered for further administrative action or the car is not let through the checkpoint.
We use licensed software modules and technologies from famous vendors integrating them into our custom built systems. Software works on the server and recognizes images from a number of video cameras in real time, time taken for one plate is up to 100ms. Result is recorded into data base along with the quality parameters of recognition (100% means trusted recognition).
Practical implementation of such systems with plate recognition is dependent on not just ambiant situation, but also cost sensitive due tohight cost of FreeFlow recognition module. See also video surveillance and itsdescription.
